US is in the W-NW sector. My Fathers PT-boat was on picket duty between Ourve River & Cherbourg June to August 1944. Then August – December off Le Harve.This isthmus in Northwest is where 502nd Regt. landed on June 6th. Normandy breakout occurred during Operation Cobra begun on July 25, 1944.
